Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh Factor Influencing Teaching (FIT)-Choice Theory terhadap motivasi menjadi guru pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi Universitas Negeri Medan. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada masih rendahnya minat mahasiswa untuk memilih profesi guru, meskipun kebutuhan tenaga pendidik terus meningkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian terdiri atas 60 mahasiswa Pendidikan Akuntansi angkatan 2022 Universitas Negeri Medan yang seluruhnya dijadikan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan metode Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan persepsi tentang profesi guru, keyakinan kemampuan mengajar, nilai utilitas, dan pilihan karier lain berpengaruh terhadap motivasi menjadi guru. Secara parsial, persepsi tentang profesi guru dan keyakinan kemampuan mengajar berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi menjadi guru. Nilai utilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi menjadi guru, sedangkan pilihan karier lain berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi mahasiswa untuk menjadi guru lebih didorong oleh persepsi nilai profesi dan keyakinan terhadap kemampuan diri dibandingkan pertimbangan manfaat praktis.
